HOLY COMMUNION AND THE FLU SEASON

Posted on January 19, 2018 in: General News

During this time of the year, there are always concerns regarding the spread of the flu and the reception of the Precious Blood as well as exchanging the Sign of Peace at Mass. At this point, we are not at an "epidemic" level. If you have the flu or another illness that can be contagious, you are encouraged to stay home. If you have the flu or feel like you are coming down with it or are just getting over it, please be considerate of others by NOT receiving the Precious Blood or shaking hands during the Sign of Peace. Some parishes see a need to suspend these practices during this season. I do not see a need to do so in the parish at this point, but I do ask that everyone be considerate, respectful, and conscientious towards others if you are or have recently been ill by not receiving the Precious Blood or shaking hands. Thanks and God Bless! Father David
