The Women of St. Francis Xavier Parish are sponsoring a "Homemade Craft and Food" booth at the Shopping Extravaganza, which will be held in the Parish Center NEXT Saturday, November 3, from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. Please be thinking of items which you can make to be sold (e.g. homemade jellies and jams, home-baked items such as pies or cakes, items which are crocheted, quilted, or knitted, ...). Be creative! All items are welcome! Thanks for your help!

HOLY DAY
Please be reminded that Thursday, November 1, is the Solemnity of All Saints (a Holy Day of Obligation). A Vigil Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. The Holy Day Mass will be offered at 12:15 pm. Masses in Charleston will be offered on Thursday at 8:15 am and 6:30 pm. Please note that the school and parish offices will be CLOSED. School will NOT be in session

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY

NEXT weekend (October 20/21) is World Mission Sunday. Every Christian has an obligation and responsibility to share the Good News of Christ with the world, especially through his/her actions. We offer our spiritual and financial support to those who are involved in the ministry and missionary work of the Church. An envelope for this effort is included in your offering envelope packet. CROSS CATHOLIC OUTREACH

NEXT weekend October 13/14, Father Patrick McCormick will be visiting our parish and celebrating the weekend Masses. Father McCormick reaches out to parishes on behalf of Cross Catholic Outreach, which is an organization established to seek support for the poor in developing countries. Father David will be taking a "personal weekend" at that time, so we welcome Father McCormick to our parish family and our community!
