MASS OF ANOINTING

A Mass of Healing including the Sacrament of Anointing will be offered on Saturday, February 10, at 10:30am with a luncheon to follow. In order to receive the Anointing of the Sick, a person must truly be in need of the Sacrament (this would include advanced age, surgery, physical illness of a more “serious nature, as well as mental and emotional healing). Everyone is invited to attend and be part of this communal parish celebration. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to the Parish Office by Monday, February 5.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

Our monthly First Friday Eucharistic Adoration will be held THIS Friday, February 2, beginning after the Morning Mass and concluding with Benediction at 4:45pm. A sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board in the vestibule if you would like to volunteer for a certain time. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will also be available after Mass.

Saturday, January 27—Notre Dame High School (Cape Girardeau) will be holding their Placement Exam for the Class of 2022. All eighth graders interested in taking the exam should report to Notre Dame at 8:00am. Call the school office for information at (573)335-6772. HOLY COMMUNION AND THE FLU SEASON

During this time of the year, there are always concerns regarding the spread of the flu and the reception of the Precious Blood as well as exchanging the Sign of Peace at Mass. At this point, we are not at an "epidemic" level. If you have the flu or another illness that can be contagious, you are encouraged to stay home. If you have the flu or feel like you are coming down with it or are just getting over it, please be considerate of others by NOT receiving the Precious Blood or shaking hands during the Sign of Peace.
